Cooking School: Wine & Roses Garden Tour

Join us for a walking tour of the beautiful wedding garden, sensory garden, and the grounds of Wine & Roses. In this class, participants will also learn important gardening fundamentals such as; how to re-use and recycle their own containers at home, how to drill holes in planters, the art of layering the soil, using rocks to ensure proper drainage, etc. Cathy will lead participants in a hands on tutorial on how to begin, keep, and maintain at home kitchen herb gardens. She will demonstrate practical uses for herbs and edible flowers, including chives, basil, oregano, parsley, tarragon, rosemary, mint, edible flowers and the importance of knowing when they are okay to eat.

Wine & Roses will provide aprons, gardening gloves, and a variety of herbs. Participants need to wear comfortable closed toe shoes for the tour.
