The Cooking Classes are helmed by Executive Chef John Hitchcock, along with Lorraine Hitchcock, Culinary Education Coordinator for Wine & Roses. They are designed for avid home cooks and food enthusiasts of all culinary levels from beginners to advanced. Guest chefs will be making special appearances. Classes include demonstrations focusing on technique, and emphasis is on seasonally appropriate ingredients. Samples of all food prepared and recipe cards will be provided. “The idea is to get people to learn something; they get to eat something, and drink something, and they get to take something home,” says Chef John. “Classes are meant to be fun, engaging, and informative. I want to share the joy of cooking and the many possibilities there are in the kitchen with fresh ingredients and simple technique.”
Class sizes are limited and require a prepayment to reserve class space. A 72-hour cancellation is required for a class credit. Reservations can be made online or by calling 209.371.6160, or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Classes are held at Wine & Roses. Classes are interactive where students help with some aspects of the food preparation. Some classes are demonstration-style and others are hands-on.
