Cookies are all the rave!  Learn how to create “magazine” cookies for  the holidays and for your special events. Guest Instructor Katie Wood offers detailed instruction for perfectly decorated cookies for all of your celebrations, including how to achieve the perfect frosting consistency- essential for perfect cookies! Class participants will decorate four cookies of their own to take home. The emphasis will be on Valentine’s Day!

$65 per person, includes a take home kit of cookie decorating essentials, light snack and soft drinks.

Demystifying Fish- Demonstration Class

Buying, storing, and cooking fish isn’t difficult; it just requires a little knowledge.  In this class, Chef John will focus on the correct method for buying, prepping, and cooking fish with flawless results.

Introduction to Sous Vide Cooking – Demonstration Class

Sous Vide (pronounced Soo veed) is a French term meaning “under vacuum.” It is a method of cooking food sealed in airtight plastic bags in a water bath or in a temperature-controlled steam environment for longer than normal cooking times. It has become a frequently used method of cooking in fine restaurants- both nationally and internationally. This method, which produces perfect results every time, is now available for the home chef. Chef John will discuss the principles of sous vide cooking and the equipment necessary and available. Chef John will share some delicious recipes along with proper cooking temperatures and times.

Farm to Fork Tour at Golden Bear Ranch

Join us as we embark on our 2nd Farm to Fork tour at Golden Bear Ranches, featuring farmer John Gibson. Golden Bear Ranch is located in Lodi, and produces beautiful organic produce featured in many restaurants including The French Laundry in Yountville, CA as well as our very own Towne House Restaurant and Wine & Roses. On our tour of the farm, we will focus on fruits of the season- stone fruits.  After our tour, we will return to Wine & Roses for a demonstration class with Chef John.

$95 per person, includes luncheon and a complimentary glass of wine.
